Congratulations, Skype!

I just got back from a few days in Chicago, and saw the news that ebay decided to pick up Skype. Congratulations!

I spent about 20 euro on Skypeout calls from the US during these last few days. Those calls would have cost me 200 euro if I had used my cell phone. I wonder what it will cost me in five years time?

Connexion by Boeing

I am stunned. I'm sitting here on the plane, buying songs from iTunes (Stones' new album was released today), and downloading them. A song takes about a minute to download, and I am 33.000 feet over Greenland...

Off to Chicago

I am happy like a child, mailing, surfing and using Skype on the plane to Chicago. I am going with my dad to see The Rolling Stones on Saturday, it will definitely be a blast.

And it IS pretty cool to use VoIP from the plane... and to use the Internet... I guess the last "information-isolated islands" - airplanes - have finally given in and become part our our wonderful, always-connected and always-on world.

Depeche Mode - Precious

I know this is ooold news (their new single Precious was released last week), but I have to comment on it anyway. My iTunes shows me that the song has been played 11 times, and I must admit that it has grown. This song is, by far, the best material they have released since the release of Violator.

I was discussing the song with a friend of mine the other day, and we agreed that the only thing we didn't like was the guitar towards the end of the song.

I guess it is not only I who look forward to getting my hands on Playing The Angel on October 18. Or watching them live in Stockholm on March 1, 2006!
